Week 6 - Injury, nooooooooooooooooooooooo!

I completed W6R2 without any issues on Thursday but noticed an unusual pain on Friday. I normally get a bit of stiffness the day after but this was an actual pain at the front just below the shin on my left leg. It was still there Saturday morning, day of W6R3 so I went for a casual walk to see if it would ease. It didn't and the area swelled up so my run was out :(

I've had a look at a muscle chart and I think the problem is with the "Superior Extensor Retinaculum", which covers the area that I experienced the swelling.

I have a docs appointment tomorrow on another matter so I will ask his advice. Has anyone else experienced this type of injury before and any ideas on healing time?

Diagnosis is best left to the professionals, if the offer of a physio appointment, take it, it might be good to have your biometrics looked at, you might of just tweaked something. Speedy recovery. Rfc x

Thanks Realfoodieclub . I spoke to the doc today and he says it doesn't look serious and just requires a bit of rest and some ice. It's been a better today so I'm going to rest it for the rest of this week and start W6 again next week if all is well.
