First ever Parkrun this morning, boy was it hard, I was well behind everyone else! My official time is in @ 51:50 - proud of myself for making it round, mostly ran it with a few walk breaks. At the time it was hell on earth, but by the time I got home I was already thinking about next time! Feeling more confident of a sub 50min time for the Great North 5k in September!

Brilliant achievement!!!

Well done! Parkrun is truly addictive π€£

I am sure you will get a sub 50 minutes 5K by the tone you run The Great North Run 5K, in fact probably with a few more park runs before that a sub 45 minutes 5k by the time you run The Great North Run 5K, congratulations on running your first 5K Parkrun.

Well done missanticrowd! I predict you'll be back at Parkrun very soon!

Well done ππ»

Well done !! Who cares about the time, you did it !
Congrats missanticrowd!! Fab achievement ππ

Great job. One parkrun done... many more to come... soon youβll not need the walk breaks and that time will come down nicely. Youβll be ready to hit that goal at great north 5k for sure.
Well done and welcome to the parkrun family!

Well done for doing it! I haven't yet tried a parkrun. Good for you for completing it!

That's brilliant! I was so over the moon when I did my first park run. I wasn't sure I could do it. Such a buzz! And the atmosphere is so friendly and supportive. Congratulations.

Congrats! Keep running regularly and your times will improve'naturally'. ππππ

Well done. Iβve done nearly 30 runs now but my best time is 48.20. Canβt see me improving greatly on that but just happy to be able to do it at 78 years

Well done you, it was hard but you did it, and you want to do it again! π...we runners are a crazy bunch ππ

Well done! I cried after my first one! Iβm usually right at the back too. All the best people are! π€£

Well done.

Congratulations on your first parkrun, don't worry too much about your time. I am also slow but I am enjoying getting to know the tail walkers. Parkrun will give you many new friends and you will always have the goal to beat your own time, the only goal that matters. Being first or last or in the middle does not matter only the joy of achievement when you finish.

Woohoo! Fantastic! π πππ
