MAKING TIME

I woke up at 5am this morning with every intention of getting up and running but the weather was unforgiving and I decided against it knowing I had a 14hour shift to come. So when I got home I decided against that episode of Once Upon a Time and instead put on my trainers and gym kit and left my flat for a late night run starting at around 9.30pm. I went into this run feeling a little more confident and happy about it. Just wow is all I can say I've never felt more relaxed after a shift than I have today. I feel energised and tired and it's such a good feeling dont get me wrong it was hard but it's worth it. Run 2 complete!

That's amazing after a 14hr shift ! Well done ! I too am a shift worker plus new runner. Just completed Week 4 run2 today. Finding it hard but feeling great after each run. It takes a great deal of motivation to drag yourself back out after being at work for 12+ hours. keep up the good work.

You’ve done the right thing with the right mind frame, top job. Carry on and you’ll reach the stage when you’ll go out no matter what, rain or shine, face and conquer the elements completely unfazed (don’t experiment with hurricanes though 😀).
