If you want to do it, then you will, but if you are half hearted, then it won't happen.

Only one person can make you do this and only one person will stop you.

Have you tried looking on internet? Just start again. It's ok. It takes more courage to do that than just give up.

Maybe you’re running technique needs some work, you shouldn’t be landing on your heel. There’s a short film on youtube showing the Japanese slow jogging movement technique. It’s low impact for injury free running and is a short pace, more mid foot strike foot placement. The only other encouragement I can give is I haven’t felt so good in years. I feel strong and my overall wellbeing has dramatically improved. I’ve lost weight & toned. The other thing you could do is read some recent graduation stories and see if that inspires. But you do have to get out there!

Give it another go. Lots of running clubs have novice courses similar to the NHS one so that's a good route to go if you want some peer group support. Hartshill Runners would be a good one if near you.

I suspect that you already know the running clubs in Telford - Lawley running Club, Wrekin Road Runners, Telford Harriers, Hartshill Runners, obviously parkrun. Only you can get the motivation and enthusiasm to run, and to reach out to these clubs to go give them a try. Probably they will have C25K groups that you can join.
