Hi there. I have never been a runner but thought I would try this to up my cardio and loose weight. Week 1 run 1 - Not going to lie, I fricken hated it. First run I managed 30 secs the next to 20 secs and then stopped. I need to keep going though as in 2 weeks time I will be better then today or not and time will not wait for me.

Welcome. I hated run one too... I swear it tried to kill me 8 times. Slow down, do not push hard on pace. This plan is best run slowly. Once I worked that out, then I could enjoy it more... well, ok, no lies... I could hate it a little less, and then the love started to grow.

Great job getting out there and starting to run. All it takes to do this is for you to not give up, and keep coming to the start line. Repeat any run that you don’t fully complete... don’t put pressure on yourself... if this takes 27 run or 270 runs the end result is the same... a fitter, healthier and more toned up version of you. Enjoy your journey.

Welcome to the forum and C25K "I_cant_run", perhaps you are going too fast, just slow down a bit, one of the problems newcomers report in the early runs are they are so tired after the first run some of them thought they were going to die, no person has died but they do find the first run the way you found it, very tiring, for your second run of week 1, just run fractionally quicker than you walk, that way you shouldn't feel just as tired.

Don't put to much pressure on yourself, go out run as slow as possible and try wkr1 again it will happen . If you have to try again and again it ok that's what the repeat button is for, good luck 😊

Hi I started today too. It’s not easy but it is doable. I’m actually looking forward to Wednesday morning. I’m carrying 2 stone 7 lb too much so I’m hoping with healthy eating and couch 25k I will get lighter and quicker. Good luck for your next run, it does not matter how long it takes to complete week one, the thing is you are trying.

UnfitNoMore is bang on. This will be so good for you - give it time and the benefits you feel will be the fuel to keep you going. Just take it nice and slow and if you need to slow down some more! Im two months from graduation, now love running but still embrace the 🐌!
