And I’m confined to walking. Grrr. ☹️😢 Nasty chest infection has really grounded me and tho’ I’m back on my feet, it’s really not time for running just yet. I’m now trying to do a bit of scouting of potential routes by walking them, and this one looks a winner come the day (🙏🏻). Even had ponies out there to cheer me on.
Hope all the rest of you are warding off the germs! Happy running.

Yes. End of the week says the doc if all goes to plan. We’ll see if the Weather Gods are up for that. Intermittent but fierce rain & hail this afternoon. It’s March....
Yeah... but half of February was June... I swear someone’s shuffling a week by week calendar! Last 2 years we’ve had snow in March... and we have it on the forecast for Monday at the moment.
Am back... well online at least, have an annoying cold, don't think I can run yet... Oh this might have the word graduate next to my name when I post... the first time I'll see it. I'm already emotional about it
Yes CP2 you are a graduate with the word next to your username. Sorry about your cold as you are unable to start the first of 6/30 minute consolidation runs, I hope you get better soon. 😊
I did manage one run with my brother who was visiting on Saturday. It was nice to have a new activity we could do together. Thanks for your good wishes!
Welcome back. I'm still on the IC but not for long I don't think. No pain at all this morning. Going to do 2 x 10 mins tomorrow morning and if that goes well will be back to it on Saturday with RunaroundSue . It would have been my graduation run (boo hoo) but it's my birthday weekend (yay!!).
I think starting with short times again and maybe resting more in between runs is the way forward. Don't worry about having moved the goal, it's important to listen to body and where you are at but more importantly, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
See you at parkrun then @pianism . It will be a bit colder than last night's run! That was quite tough as I am not used to running in the evening at home. Still bright and sunny at 6.30pm here. And quite warm despite the welcome wind - and 4 drops of rain!
I got a Lanzarote 5k pb on Saturday - that run started at 9am but was still warm, I had to remove my t-shirt and expose my running crop-top for only the second time.
These things seem to come along to all of us in some way. ☹️ Guess probably the germ is less griping than the injury route! Anyway seems to be moving slowly away.... Have a good birthday weekend. 👏🏼🎂
Thank you. Finally back out on the trail this morning for a slow jog across the fields. 😊 Very pleased that I made it and no apparent ill effects except taking longer to settle breathing than usual. Legs still seem ok so hoping to really get going again soon.
