A year ago I joined Livewell to lose weight n get fitter. Amongst the activities offered c25k was suggested together with gym or walking. Being very overweight I went for the walking n tongue in check said if I lost 3 stone within 12 months I’d try the c25k. Having struggled with weight lose n NEVER run since 800m at school over 40yrs ago, pretty sure I’d never do it. Well I did! So in January I kept to my word n signed up for the course. Wk1r1 was sooo hard n after the second run my thighs hurt so much I was ready to give in. Was suggested I rest n maybe delay next run which I did. Those words of encouragement helped so much, I did feel better n so here I am jogging for 25mins about 3.1k. Still a challenge but doable. Sometimes I think I’ll wake up n find it’s all been a dream-me running! Already booked a date for my 1st park run/walk😀
