Right so I’m thinking of starting from scratch with couch to 5k as I haven’t run for about a month due to being diagnosed with depression and acute anxiety! Iv been put on tablets (sertraline) that are taking a while to get used to!
Iv lost all motivation to do any exercise, so I’m just starting of walking twice a day but even that I need to force myself out the house. Just want to be back to my normal self. X

Good idea! I’d do the same, as your body and mind are in a different place at the moment. Take care of yourself and do this for you 😘
Hey you...I was wondering where you were...Lovely to see you
Well... you are having a rough time and we will do all we can to help you through this..
You know the benefits of this so.... be kind to yourself and take it gently. Some routes you enjoy, setting your gear out the night before etc, etc, all helping with that, getting out of the door.
Remember that the gremlins and the motivation hide under your running shoes too... sneaky little blighters.
Some brisk walking sounds good... and when things settle down with your meds, then pop the running shoes on... head for a walk and see if a little jogette transpires
Many of us have done all, or some of C25K again, after injury or illness, or just life stuff!
It is brilliant. There is no pressure at all.. you know the form and you know you can do it...
So... here you are.. strong, determined and ready to do this...you are going to get there.
Just remember, we will be walking and eventually running alongside you and as ever, I will be the one whispering in your ear... Slow and steady... (you knew that, didn't you?)
If any type of exercise helps your mental health, it’s running!! Honestly, please try this programme and stick with it, there are thousands of us doing the same, it’s the best thing I’ve done this year so far and now I actually look forward to it, mainly for the way it makes me feel( happy!). Download some good tunes on Spotify and off you go... good luck, I’d live to hear how you get on
Hey, I'm sure many people here can relate. I'm trying to get back to it myself as (also due to depression) my gaps between runs lengthened to weeks. Getting out for a walk is absolutely a thing to do which will help. Stick around here and we'll support you
