Marple you say? Just got back from Brabyns park and having a brew now. Is it also fate that the 23rd on my plan is one of those rare moments where I get a run on a Saturday of the right length? I have a 3 mile recovery run scheduled, I guess I could do the extra .11 ๐
I will let you know. I regard Marple as my local parkrun, even though technically itโs probably Lyme (I live in High Lane). We could always do Lyme the week after ๐
Probably need to build up my outdoor running a bit more first (as in I've only done one so far which I did as a repeat of W1R1!) but keep me in the loop, Marple is the one I was planning to try first.
Hmm, I haven't said a definite no yet! Depends how the next few outside runs go. It's not so much the speed (I'm fine with sloooow) as that I'm deliberately building up gradually outside so my ankles get used to running on something other than a flat treadmill. I have ankles that can turn if you look at them - when I broke my ankle I was just walking on a reasonably even pavement, flat shoes, broad daylight, stone cold sober. I know myself too well - if I come along before I'm really ready I won't want to walk and I'll end up overdoing it.
