Well just done W2 R1, started gently again after 10 days off. Went slowly and felt reasonable afterwards. Is it better to run each week more than 3 times if I feel I need to. I'm really keen to get through it .

No, not a good idea. You’re pushing your body into doing stuff it isn’t used to and it needs the rest days to adjust and adapt. Skipping rest days makes injury far more likely, and think of the time that wastes ! You don’t have to sit around being bored on your rest days - people walk, cycle, swim, do yoga and so on. I do the NHS Strength and Flex podcasts myself and they help my running too. Rest days are as much part of the programme as run days, so relax and enjoy x

Please read the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5... which explains how to tackle C25K.

Rest days are as crucial as run days.

Whoops, I asked the wrong question. Was wanting to know if rather than run each week 3 times, you could run it 4 times if you felt you needed to, this would be over 8-10 days. The whole process would take longer, but I'm guessing you'd still achieve it. The thought of running on consecutive days is not a good one. 😁

You can repeat as much as you like. If your body is taking time to adjust but you’ve completed all the requirements of a run, it can be better to move on to the next one and tackle it in stages - do as much as you can, note when you finish and walk the rest. The next time, aim to beat what you managed the time before, and so on until you conquer it. That can be better for morale than repeating stuff you already know you can do. Happy running x

You can do the runs as many times as you feel comfortable with as long as you have your rest days. I've repeated the odd run through the program if I felt I needed to.

Like you after 10days of no running(strained muscle), I am redoing wk2. I’ve been given good advice take it slow and steady. 💐
