First attempt since Oct half term!

So having injured ankle at end of October and getting fed up with remaining ache and pain, even though it is so much better, decided I’d give a Week 1 run a go ( stopped at W4R2). I’ve done it. I’m back home but can’t really rejoice as felt it all the way round. Not so bad it forced me to stop but when the right side flows smoothly but the left ankle and then into hip feels like it belongs to a different body , it’s depressing. Ankle throbbing nursing ice pack. Do I keep going or hang up these running shoes for even longer?

Well.. we are not medical experts...so, the diagnosis and suggested treatment you had for the ankle is the thing... ?

Were you given exercises to support recovery etc...if these have not been successful then maybe time to get checked out again. We can and do come back from injury... but the correct diagnosis and treatment is essential :)

Yes I went to physio and been doing the exercises but recovery kind of plateaued. Pleased to report that after icing I’m walking barefooted around house with ease. I’ll see what tomorrow brings and whether I feel ok to do another W1r3 ( just for psychological benefit did W1R2 today- too depressing going ALL the way back!). Thanks for support.
