I'm so unfit. Tried the first run thursday and only managed it half way! Not going to let it stop me though going out again tomorrow. Maybe I'll get a little bit further this time around :) have to start somewhere!

really enjoyed reading everybody's journey posts. Really inspiring!

Welcome and don’t sweat it. We all started in same shoes . Go slow and have fun

You've gotten off the couch and out the door. That's the biggest step.

If you can't complete the run sections try just walking faster and the slow back for the walks. Make sure you're not trying to run too fast, that's the most basic rule.

Most of all, keep trying and have fun! 👍😁

Go very very slow. And then slower. As long as you are running. It will get you through. Pace may come..... but you will be running! 🐌🐌

Well done for starting and welcome!

What Ang33333 said. It is all done at a slow jog pace.

Well done on starting. You sound like you’re ready for this journey and you’ll get there in your own time. And in a few weeks you’ll be giving people advice! Best of luck. You can do this 🏃🏼‍♀️x

Good that you've started. Keep going, you'll be amazed at how fast your fitness builds. Just go more slowly. Take the time you need to get the first run under your belt, then go from there. Keep it up!

You can do it! As the others say, just keep going, even when it feels more like walking than jogging. I had to repeat Week 1 several times before I had the confidence to proceed. And don't underestimate the power of a good playlist on your headphones to take your mind off your struggles. You CAN do it so Good Luck!

Welcome and well done... read through that info from IannodaTruffe again... and then head out really slowly.

Think a snail on a go slow :) Just try to relax and land as gently and lightly as you are able:)

Well done for starting & persevering!! Slow, slow, slow is the vital thing here, I keep checking my feet to make sure i’m taking small steps & that i’m not too bouncy, helps me loads! Keep going & speed is not important at this stage. You can do it, we were all in your position at some point & this programme works. Enjoy!!!

Well done for starting in extreme temperatures which are slowing us all down a bit. Just take it slowly, and if you are still finding it difficult get used to doing the brisk walk throughout a few times before you start the programme. You’ve done well to get off the couch even if you brisk walk for 25 mins to start. The programme does work if you take it slowly and take advice from this forum. Happy running

I’m healthy and fit but still struggled with the running. Just take it slow. You’re off the couch and that’s the most important step you can take. Keep positive!!

Hi, I've just started too. My first run was a struggle, my second was much easier. The trick as everyone will tell you SLOW DOWN. Don't get disheartened and don't forget it's not a competition. Keep on trying.
