Can I run/walk at a ParkRun?

Has anyone used ParkRun as the location for one of the runs in the programme? I’m thinking of going on Sat and on that day I’ll be up to wk5 r3 so I’m wondering if I can just walk the rest of the 5k once the run time is over?

You can..we do usually advise waiting until Week 7 until trying Park Run..you can be tempted to run too far..too fast too soon..but if you do it properly..and just do your run and then walk...you will be fine.

There are many people who have used a parkrun during C25K particularly from week 5 run 3 onwards, but not neccessarily, good luck for your 20 minute run at the parkrun, after the 30 minute run as you say you can just walk the rest of the 5K.

You absolutely can. I have been entirely walking parkrun since November on medical advice and its fine to just walk. If you want to throw in a bit of running, even better !
