A third of the way!

Can’t quite believe I’m a third of the way through the programme already! It was definitely easier today than Run 2 of this week, though I’m getting a bit fed up of all the running sections starting on an uphill bit. No niggly aches n pains today n the new running shoes definitely make a big difference. Excited for Week 4 now! 😁

Well done. And hurray for new shoes. Fun and very good for the feet! 🎉

Thanks! The shoes are lovely but my right orthotic didn’t sit quite right n irritated my arch the first time I wore them. Luckily I don’t need the orthotic for that foot n it’s so similar to the running shoe insole that I went with that instead. If there’s no after effects tomorrow then I’ll stick with odd insoles 😂😂

Oh, good luck. I use orthotics in my running shoes too and it can be a real pest to get everything to sit just right. Trust the new red shoes will get it right this time!

Hope so! I use them in all my everyday shoes as I have arthritis in my left foot n it causes me to overpronate. I have exercises to keep the tendons tight but still need the orthotic for the left one. I have a friend who’s an orthotist n does 3D printed orthotics so when I’m feeling flush I’ll have some made that’ll fit my running shoes properly

I use them for all shoes after a bad attack of plantar facieitis about 10 yrs ago. So far I get away with generic ones from Boots... fingers crossed. 😊

I have a pair of custom ones but they’re too narrow to use in my running shoes, n 2 pairs of nhs ones. I think the nhs ones are what triggered the plantar fasciitis in my right foot cos I didn’t have it before I got them. Luckily it’s very mild n I can control it with exercises. The only time it bothered me on a run was the first time I wore my running shoes cos they pushed the arch bit up enough to irritate it. Hence the odd insoles of today 😂. You’re lucky to be able to use generic ones, custom ones are pretty expensive 😔
