I couldn’t wait until Monday!

So unlike me as I’m not one for running at all, I also found when I was walking the rover path the runners would irritate me, well I couldn’t wait to start and had spare time today. So.... I did my first run! Felt very self conscious when seeing people, my dog loved it. My legs feel very heavy through, run 2 Monday 👌

River Path - not rover 🙄

Well done. You've started your journey and what a journey it is!

I know exactly what you mean... cyclists irritated me... until I joined them. Runners confounded me (I mean... just why!?) until I joined C25k 😁

Please do read the guide to the programme, I'll add it here in a second as there is so much useful info but most of all... Have fun!

(Oh and hydrate well, those muscles need extra water!)

The programme is amazing and really works. It teaches you more than just how to run. I cannot recommend it highly enough 👍😁

Great work ⭐️ Just keep taking it slow and steady. Heavy legs can be a sign of poor hydration, so you may want to consider that before your next run. All the best with it x

I am feeling so encouraged by all the messages. I was feeling nervous about week 2 but now I'm looking forward to it 🙂

Thank you for taking the time to comment.

Glass is always half full, any setback is something that makes you stronger. Just do it! (That would make a good slogan)

Well done you SunnyC33!

I too am a non runner and have just completed week 1. Looking forward to the point at which my legs don't feel heavy any more.

Hope you enjoy your Monday run.
