Well, here I am again.

Back on Tuesday I finished off week 1 with what felt like a dreadful run, and I was planning to repeat the week.

Thank you to @UnfitNoMore and @IannodaTruffe for your words of advice in response.

I’ve reduced my efforts on my non-running days to allow for better quality recovery thanks to the advice from @UnfitNoMore, and thanks to @IannodaTruffe I decided to keep moving forward and I pushed on into Week2.

I’m not going to lie. I was concerned at the start, but I made it! Just!

I still got a lot of pain in my left shin but it wasn’t quite as severe as previously.

I don’t think I’m hydrating enough so that’s something for me to work on before the next run, and then once I’m back in the U.K. at the end of next week it’s time to retire my trainers.

Great job... and the first step up is done. Nothing wrong with just completing... we are new to this! It will get easier. Enjoy run 2... and shoe shopping next week.
