5k parkrun achieved

I completed my first 5k Parkrun yesterday morning and I feel fantastic and somewhat emotional!

It was beautiful to have the volunteers there applauding you as you completed various parts of the route.

When I finished I went and had a well-deserved bowl of 190 calorie porridge from Micky D's ;-) plus 2 small bananas I'd taken with me and a cup of black coffee too!

I followed the wk6run3 and then wound it back a bit to complete the full 5k!!

Feel great today and will complete another again in 2 weeks! #TogetherWeAreBeautiful #LivingTheDream #5kParkrun

Well done Reggie, be warned you might have this urge to get up and do it every Saturday. It’s my favourite run of the week.

Thank you. I might even ask if they want another volunteer on my 'off' weeks!

That is equally satisfying. I love making a noise and cheering people on. You just have to get yourself on the volunteers list . There should be a link in your results letter. If you Tailwalk it is classed as a run as well. Sometimes I run and then sort tokens which gives a run and a volunteer tick.

I am thinking of doing a local park run Saturday, your post has given me the green light 👣👣 well done on your run, hope it leads to fabulous things in the future 🤪

You won't regret it! It's a fantastic experience and I'm not just saying that, it felt truly humbling and proud to achieve and for the volunteers who cheer and applaud you enroute :-)

Let me know how you get on :-)

Congratulations on your first Parkrun and your PB time. It’s a great way to finishing the last run of each week.

I just love Parkrun. It’s a great way to meet people too. Enjoy the next 3 weeks left in the C25K plan.
