So as I’m becoming more involved with C25K, one thing I’m noticing is how old it’s getting at this time of year. I run in morning around 6am as I can do it all before work, and I do not have time in the evenings. As I’m not a seasoned pro, I wear shorts, hoodie and some gloves, but my word I was freezing!!! What’s everyone else doing to combat this? I don’t want to weigh myself down and become uncomfortable.

Seasonal gear
Hello!
I bought myself some running tights and wear a base layer type top under my shirt at this time of year.
I found Decathlon to be good value for running gear.
Ben
Yes and I wear a woolly hat and gloves, as well as two pairs of long running tights, thermal top under my merino wool top. I got cheap ski base layers, plus a body warmer.
I wear full length leggings in the cold, a vest, zip up running jacket, sometimes two ( so I can easily take them off while running and tie round my waist when I warm up), gloves and a hat or buff. I think you just have to work out what works for you. Layers are good, it’s just what to do with them if you heat up en route.
Definitely leggings, long sleeve top, gloves and head band I hate cold ears!
Get yourself along to Aldi.......they are selling merino base layers this week. Their gear is excellent value and I have been using it for years.
Layer up with base layer. I use compression top and pants, running trousers and long sleeved wicking t-shirt (not cotton) and gloves all from Aldi.
Add a buff, occasionally a beanie and on rare occasions a windproof jacket and you can stay warm without much weight or discomfort.
Good call on the buff. Mine's been invaluable these past few weeks. Black's have some cheaper variants.
I have a genuine "Buff" and a cheaper option......... I can't tell the difference.
A Buff buff.
Or a bluff Buff!
I've got a couple, but I'd never used them much, as I didn't think they "suited" me - really glad of them now!
