Anyone else really struggle with week 5 run 3 jumping from running with walking breaks straight into “trying” to run for 20 minutes straight. I made the mistake of running on consecutive days but had massive issues with shin splints for the 1st time. Didn’t get anywhere near 20 minutes continually. Felt so bad I’ve started week 5 again

Hey Thegaz2002. I took 3 weeks to complete week 5 run 3. You can do it, just believe in yourself and follow the programs advice. You need to get your body time to rest. Good luck.

Try again take your time you will get it even if you can't that's what the repeat button is for good luck

It sounds like you learned the hard way about consecutive days more than anything else... shin splints can be an overuse injury as well as an impact thing. It doesn’t sound like it was a not being ready issue, as you stopped before the duration you’d run before... unless you went off too fast. Hope the shins are better now, slow and steady and you get it next time.
