I’ve been doing C25K with my dog and she has been loving every minute of it. We are one run into week 5 & it is motivation having my furry best friend by my side.

That's great ❤🐾 I did C25K with my little dog too, he loved it! Had to stop bringing him running when it got hot in the summer - he is 12 years old and can't take the heat! Now my long runs are too far for him but he still enjoys the short ones 😊

I run with my two young Irish Setters, off the lead I may add, the thought of them being attached to me is very, very scary! But yes they love coming with me and do recognise my running gear now. Not sure they understand why the runs are so much shorter than their walks, they can, and do easily run all day when we go for day walks in the mountains, but they are just happy to have an extra “walk” on run days.

That's great if they can be free while you are running, much more fun for them! Yes I think some dogs would be a bit too strong/wild to be attached to you - could be disastrous! 😁

I certainly would see a lot more of the Forest than I’ve ever been in before 😂

My 10 year old pointer is a liability even off lead! I dread to think what a tangled mess it would be if I tried to run with her on lead - we'd probably both end up wrapped around a tree - at best :D

I occasionally do my run during the dog walk, when time is short. She's off lead and still manages to get in the way! As for teaching her left and right? more chance of her teaching me! Sadly, I don't think she and I will ever be a canicross team, but it does look super cool for those that can.

Yes sadly my old doggies are never going to be up to canicross, I would love to try it but I may have to borrow someone's young (well behaved) pooch!
