Haven’t had a run for over three weeks, kids home , Christmas etc, so last night I decided to join running club. Wow big mistake. Theses people were like really going for it and them running 10 miles was a breeze, me I struggled to do 1.5 miles. Took short cuts and kept walking. Hence to say I won’t be going back to them again until I can run for ten miles at least

Much to fast and strong for me. Today I’m aching and hurting all over. Never had it this bad even when I first started running. Had stitch in side all through run. Really was absolutely shattered after their 10 miles in fifteen minutes with a three minute break.
I need to go at a much slower pace. My own pace.
I wouldn't stress about it. Is there any other running clubs about that are a bit more realistic for where you are at the moment? I am not ready to join a running club, I think I will always be a solitary runner.
No there isn’t any other clubs around me unfortunately. There’s one on a Tuesday night but I can’t do that because I’m a carer and I work. So as you say I think I’m going to be a solitary runner, and run at my own speed and distance
