I have just completed my 2nd to last run of the program and I am not finding them easy at all.
The last 5 mins is nearly killing me!
I thought I’d be cruising by now but not the case.
I am also averaging only around 3.5km.
Is anyone else having the same experience?
It’s a hard slog!

It's common to feel like that. Slow down; the aim at the moment is to run for 30mins, the rest you can work on later so forget distance, and speed for now. You can run slower by moving your legs slower (cadence), but also by taking smaller steps so maybe try that too and see if it helps.
First, you've done amazingly well to get to the end of the programme – congratulations. Your body is doing the best it can for you and is telling you that! What feels like hard work is just feedback on your current fitness level. It's a temporary thing that will pass as you get more kms into your legs. If you're puffing and panting then slow down – remember you should be running at a pace that allows you to hold a conversation.
Your goal should be to follow the coach's instructions and enjoy yourself so that you want to go out and do it all over again after your rest day. So do whatever it takes to make your runs fun and enjoy your graduation run!
Hi Juliet. Congratulations on getting this far! I only graduated this week, and I felt exactly the same, and my speed is about the same as yours, a little less sometimes. I sometimes think we should nickname the programme 0 to 30 because it's easy to think we should be running 5k by the end of it, when the aim is to run for 30 minutes. And running is a loose term that means both your feet are off the ground at the same time, if only for a nano-second, it doesn't mean we have to sprint for all of it.
I agree with Flyingred's comment that it's important to try and enjoy the runs (otherwise we won't carry on with them once the programme's over) so try not to worry about the final run of the programme. Remember as you go that you have already succeeded in running 30 minutes in previous runs, so there's nothing to stop you from doing it again. You are already a winner by taking part in the programme, so go for that final run and enjoy seeing 'Graduate' pop up on your app - it can be your own Christmas miracle!
You're not alone my first attempt at week 9 was rough I ended up walking.there's a huge amount of psychology at this stage and it's easy to talk your self out of finishing the run.
I repeated the runs at dead slow pace did 3.5 k but really rebooted my confidence. Now after some slow runs like that I can do 5 k in 45 mins.
It will come to you have patience and believe in the programme. Merry Xmas.
