...so I had a little cry! Chose the flattest I could find near to me and ran with a friend who was a star and chatted to me all the way round, including running tips! In theory this was week 8 run 3 but I decided to just keep going as long as I could. I found it very tough but it turns out I was running over a minute per km quicker than usual. I had to walk a couple of times in the last km but the first time I had to stop I’d been going for 35mins. I think it was about 42mins in the end: I just about managed not to be last! Feeling very chuffed with myself. Happy Christmas, everyone xx

Well done... great to hear you enjoyed that first parkrun. Don’t overrun now, back on plan and keep the injury risk as low as possible... you’ve nothing to prove. Enjoy week 9... it’s your victory lap.
