I still can’t believe I’m a graduate, I’m planning on doing my first park run Saturday coming, 8th December.

Don’t forget to register so and print and take your barcode . If it’s a muddy park run like many are at the moment then wear trail shoes if you have them but most of all - enjoy it- it’s fun and a lovely welcoming atmosphere !

Perfect! Thank you! I’ve registered a couple of weeks ago, just need to print out bar code. Never thought about the footwear if I’m honest! I only have the shoes I run in. Thanks for the advice! ,xx

Yep, don’t forget your barcode, and laminate it if possible. Not necessary, but certainly helpful in avoiding them becoming crumpled and sweaty! I’ve been handed some sorry looking ones to scan - and sometimes they just won’t!

Don’t go off too fast - it’s easy to get swept away with the quickies - and run at your own pace. There will be a first timer’s briefing, so listen out for that. 👍

Most of all, have fun! People at parkrun are awesome and the atmosphere is super friendly! We look forward to hearing how it goes. 😀😀

Thanks so much, you’re right.. I don’t want to get caught up in the moment! It’s potentially the first time I’ll have run on grass too, I do all mine on the road/path. Xx

I keep my barcode tucked into my mobile phone protective case.

I also have laminated it.

As UNM says, print off multiple barcodes and keep them in places where you happen to find them like your coat pocket, car glove compartment, stuck to your mobile, etc
