Today was week 7 run 1. Went to fire up the Bluetooth headphones only to find they wouldn't switch on. Fiddled around with my watch thingo to set a timer for 25 minutes and off I went. No music to time my strides and distract me from feeling like death but I surprised myself! Much better than I expected and I ran exactly the same distance as w6r3. I guess I can be alone with my thoughts after all 😀
As a lurker up until now I should give a quick intro - I'm actually an Aussie living in the tropical North of my country. It's getting hot and humid so I'm getting up at dawn to run in the 'cool' (still 25°C+). I used to be an athlete of sorts, but never a distance runner. I can't believe I'm running the furthest I have in my life and it's not even as terrible as I thought 😅

Welcome iemo, great you've joined us. I think it's fabulous we can join in the conversation anywhere in the world.
You had a hot run, mine was a 5C one this morning, with quite a chill factor too here on the south east coast near Brighton, U.K. I love the heat, but I don't think I would like the humidity you have to tolerate.
Post some more and let us know how you're doing. Enjoy the running, isn't C25K brilliant? Saw an excellent photo of some guys carrying a couch taking it for a 5K run. Great fun!
