Have not run for over 30 years - have done 2 of the week 1 runs and mostly managed the sixty second bursts 😬. I want to improve my fitness and reduce my bp. I found it best not to think about doing it - just to get up and go — my philosophy is at worst it’s a 30 min walk!

Yep you got it. The plan works great. Keep your runs slow and steady, make sure you take your rest days and you've got it nailed! Keep posting on here for lots of support, motivation and advice

Fab! Make sure you look after your muscles - achilles etc. Loads of folk on here will give you advice. Take it as they know what they’re talking about ( I’m injured - I didn’t ignore advice just didn’t read it fully until week 3 and realised not been doing enough stretches/ strengthening exercises so paying for it now). Well done so far... you’ll soon be completing runs and hitting 30 minutes running... of course on rest days a brisk walk will do wonders too!
