Finished week one and feel great. Previous experiences would be really interesting.

I am surfing my 50's at the moment and need to get back in shape.

Woop 🙌 well done KTC! Great effort completing you first week, it is the toughest. I really struggled with the first few runs and had to repeat a couple of them. You will find over the next couple of weeks that your fitness really starts to build. It’s a long and hard journey but it is so rewarding. 😀

Welcome fellow 50+ person!

Someone will soon be along to give you loads of useful links for you to read, digest and follow to the letter.

My main advice is to keep it slow, and if you're struggling, slow down even more! And never run on consecutive days, as you're much more likely to suffer injuries if you don't allow your body time to recover.

Other than that, enjoy your journey and keep letting us all know how you're getting on (you'll get so much advice and encouragement from this forum it's unreal)! 😊

50 something here too... just finished Week 6. I've been taking it nice and slow, adhering to all the rest days and getting through it. Some days are easier than others but keep it steady and you'll get there. Here's to your second week!

I’m going to be 50 next year - I think that was probably what made me start jogging. I found week one hard. At the beginning I thought I would be happy if i made it to week 4. I’m now on week 7 and loving jogging, it has already become a way of life.
