First wet run

Let's be clear about this - I don't like rain and I hate getting my head wet (I hardly ever go outdoors bare-headed). So what on earth was I doing at the end of a Parkrun, with rain running down my face, wet bare legs and still smiling? My new Karrimor run jacket protected me fine from the light rain (was a tad warm between showers) but the heavens opened properly at the end, soaking my shorts, plastering the jacket to my arms and starting to get through - and I was happily standing round chatting?

This running lark does odd things to a chap.

I think we can officially declare that you are mad!

I ran on Wednesday and got caught in a downpour. I was drenched, and I squelched my way round, but spent most of the time laughing at myself. I think we may be closet masochists!

Great stuff.

Standing in the park in the pouring rain on a Saturday morning either makes you crazy, or a runner 😂

Crazy OR a runner? I'm beginning to think those two are synonymous.

They’re closely related for sure... I think runner is beyond crazy though!

You are insanely good runner ;) I hate rain, but now the only thing I can do in the rain is jog :P but standing and chatting is still way above my league :P

I still can't get used to the idea that I am actually getting out of the door and doing this . Congratulations on your recent graduation, too.

Thank you :) I know, it is kind of wierd and great that we graduated and actually running :)

You are defiantly a runner! I did the same on Saturday also. Not a park run mind you but a wet wet run. This running malarkey does do weird and wonderful things to us all!🤣🤣🤣🌧💦👏👏👏🤗

Yes, this running thing does very strange things to me too. I find myself out running in all weathers and strange times of day too - and I don't do that, especially if it's raining or dark. Weird, or what 😂🖖.... I think my body gets taken over by some other being, definitely not me 👽👻

It does feel odd when you start to crave for rain to help cool you during and after running! 😸
