I used to run, I used to be fit, I used to be a healthy weight. After a stressful couple of years I’m more unfit and fatter than I’ve ever been. I started WW this week and my first run starts tomorrow....it feels like there’s a very long journey ahead!! 😢
Let’s do this...: I used to run, I used to be... - Couch to 5K
Let’s do this...
Welcome to the forum and well done on your decision.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
Enjoy your journey.
Thank you, will have a proper read!
There is..but you will have a wonderful time...keep posting and prepare to find the you...that you really are!
Welcome. You can do it... and the journey is wonderful
... and in 9 weeks time you can say to all your friends "I used to not run, I used to not to be fit, I used to have a unhealthily weight, I used to be unfit, I used to be fat, I have slimmed down thanks to C25K and have a healthier diet".
I wish you a happy and healthy next 9 weeks ' COttlestOne'. 😊 If it takes longer than 9 weeks, that is OK, good luck. Once you graduate from C25K you will feel like what you used to as described in your first sentence.
Don’t lose heart I was exactly were you are 10 moths ago now i’m Almost 41/2 stone lighter and just about to complete week 4. I found doing the C25K has given me a wellness goal instead of continually aiming at weight related goals. Remember every journey starts with 1 step and you’ve taken it I can only hope your WW coach is a good as my Tasha. Good luck with your first run.
All the best with your efforts - it will change your life. You will find tomorrow will be the hardest run of all - don't be put off by how hard it seems. Get through that and then it is downhill all the way and gets easier and easier..... Honest....
You can do this! Good Luck tomorrow. Let us know how you get on!
Oh welcome, lots of us on gear felt like that, but this is a great support network, enjoy your first run, if I’ve learnt anything, it’s about slow and steady... have fun
Thank you everyone for the support! I know the first run (/walk!) will be the hardest...but tbh I think I’m quite looking forward to it. I’m definitely looking forward to feeling healthier. Until tomorrow...
First one done, feeling quite pleased that I a) dragged myself out of bed and b) didn’t give up on run number 1. I can’t say I enjoyed it, but I’m really glad I started. 😁
