6k!

After three weeks of consolidation runs, which I’m still massively enjoying, I felt good at 5k and continued to 6! Feel great at another little milestone achieved! I still can’t believe I haven’t talked myself out of a single run so far and have managed 3 a week (including two park runs). I was worried I would get demotivated after finishing the plan but no chance! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

I have one run left before I graduate so was really good to read this! Could you run 5k at the end of the plan?

I managed it once in the last week. I managed a parkrun with a steep hill in 31 minutes last week so I’m using that as a more accurate measure. I’m not rushing to try and go sub 30, I’m just enjoying running and pushing myself if it feels right. Good luck for your last run!!!

I’m running for 30 minutes and only hitting 3 (and a bit) k so got to build on that first. First things first graduation run!!! Thank you :-)

You’ll soon speed up! Just enjoy it and don’t put pressure on yourself. I look forward to seeing your shiny graduation badge!!!

That's brilliant!

I was going to run today, but it was a bit blustery... Will try again tomorrow! I have been strength training on all my non-runnng days though. I can definitely see the benefit - I am starting to get some definition in my weedy arms!

I have done two parkruns too though!

I love running, but don't think I am motivated to go further. It takes too long and my time is all maxed out, I think.

I think you just do what feels right for you. You’ve achieved what set out to do and now your doing other things too! What sort of strength training are you doing if you don’t mind me asking?

Ha! Just anything which I can do without equipment for now. So planks, press ups, squats, lunges, supermans (supermen?!), etc. I just Google strength training for runners and have a go at stuff!

I’m impressed at your motivation for that! Maybe I’ll give it a go too! I do ballet one night a week that feels like it is stretching everything which is great, but some exercises specifically for runner could work too. Thank you!

Great job... keep on running, ticking the milestones off, and more importantly enjoying it.

Well done you. I enjoy running when I'm out doing it, but I do procrastinate. Lol
