Yoga is a great exercise for runners, however, I think you will have to take a rest from running and some yoga until the pain in your leg/shin calf goes, if it persists you should go and ask your doctor for medical advice.

Don't ignore the pain... massage or roll that calf.... and try some calf exercises.. If they don't help then get it checked out and don't run.
Hi Simba, I would get it checked out before you run again. I am going threw the similar situation at the moment. I have completed ct5k be I have been increasing my speed on the treadmill as i was jogging rather than running. I've pain in my shins more my calf, they ache but the shins OMG no pain or anything whilst not running but as soon as i start to run it's like someone stabbing me with a knife in my shins. I looked on the running world site and it would appear what i am describing is shin splints and can take a couple of months to get better before i can run again. I have also checked this out with a few runners and it does seem to be the case, but not too alarm but if you keep running threw the pain ( if you can ) there is a possibility of a fracture on the shins. You wont believe how fed up i am about it as i was starting to get a good speed up. I had to comment with you saying shins as i don't think anybody would want a possible fracture, so get it checked out before you start again. Maggie
