So pleased with myself that I managed to do it!! Can’t believe I’ve ran for 3 minutes solid... Twice!! When I started 2 weeks ago, I couldn’t even get to 1 minute without feeling like I wanted to pass out. Now, I can control my breathing and have got a good rhythm going. But, the only thing making me want to give up before the end of the 3 minutes is my calf’s.... the pain is awful!! Is there anything I can do to help with this? Or is it just something I have to go through and it’ll get better? Like shin splints.... they were awful but I’ve not had them for a couple of runs now xx

Hi

i am happy to see that you are so excited for your runs

lets talk on your calf pain

your body is getting adapted to running and we are using multiple different muscle for running ,,,

so first thing we have to differentiate between the pain and soreness ,,,

let's assume its a pain

so what could be the reason

1 proper form of running

2 strengthening needed

what can be done ?

strengthening exercises

improve the form

slow down the pace
