Just back from my graduation run. I had found the first two runs this week really quite tough and was expecting to feel the same for this one but I seemed to find a comfortable pace & rythym. I didn't get a stitch for the first time in a while & I covered much more distance than I had done on any previous session. In fact I REALLY enjoyed it...while I was actually running...not just the afterglow!
Thank you to everyone on this forum. I have been quietly following everyone's progress & the advice, support & encouragement on here has definitely spurred me on.
When I started the programme back in August the thought of running for even a few minutes felt like a mammoth task. Someone early on told me don't look too far ahead, trust the process, so I did & do you know the process really does work.
I am really looking forward to consolidation now over the next few weeks. I have a 5k race in 2 weeks and for the first time I'm feeling like I can do it!

I did one of my runs on a treadmill due to bad weather & I found it surprisingly tough having been used to running outdoors but outdoors is more satisfying. I think i'll just keep mixing it up as it suits me - with a young family you just gotta do what you can!!
Congratulations!! I'm hot on your heels, having just done W9R2. So pleased to hear you enjoyed the graduation run so much. I hope I will too on my 'final' run later this week.
Congratulations! I'm also one of those who have just completed W9R2, so nearly at graduation too.
I took the opportunity to run my local ParkRun route along the seafront instead of the roads near my home. And I have to say that the location change was great to bring some freshness and new motivation before my final C25k run. Yes, it felt good to me too. I might just grow to love this running thing. Bring on W9R3!
Well done! I did my W9R2 today and will hopefully do my graduation run on Friday. It is a fantastic programme - like you, I started in August and cannot believe that I've got the the end (almost!). Changed my life and my outlook on running completely.
