Couch5k keeps ancient walker going.....

I had a great morning with our local race walking community in a brilliantly organised 10k Walking Race in our local Winter Walking League.

My first walking race since last November, attempted with little training. I got round in 1.09.46 at a 10.50 mile per minute pace, not my best but - It showed to me the innate fitness bestowed by the Couch5k programme.

Currently chugging through Week 7 again, I have to say that the fitness this programme is giving me has spilled over into my race walking. The programme and the support from so many on this forum is what keeps me going.

The fitness that Couch5k gives must improve so many areas of our lives - it makes all the effort worthwhile...

And to brighten your days further, you get a gratuitous shot of my knees....

Brilliant Duddles, and what a great photo! 👏👏👍 Your time is only 4 minutes less than my first 8k run last week! 😅
