2 years on and still running

I looked in my diary and realised I had marked the date...... 2 years on from taking that first step/jog to fitness. For me its been a remarkable achievement, one of my goals in life was to be able to run outdoors.

So despite the up and downs( and that is my weight) and injuries. I am still here and reflecting how starting C25K was one of my best successes .

I have taken part in 2 Race for Life's, one 10k Great Scottish Run, and am doing the Bupa woman's 10k on the 11th of May.

So those of you out there still sticking with the programme and continuing with further fitness, keep at it.

I have met many remarkable people on here who have spurred me on and made me challenge myself.

Sokeep jogging, I know I will..

Congratulations on your second anniversary! Well done you for sticking with the running despite all the ups & downs. Two years running is a great achievement.

Good luck for the 10k in May. J

Wow that's great you are still running and enjoying yourself. Hope I can say the same in a couple of years x

I still feel the need to run and can't bear it when I can't so I would say I am hooked!

Thanx Oldgirl, just managed another 9.95km today, rain stayed away which helped.

It's always inspiring to hear from people who hve kept up their running so long after graduation. I hope to be posting the same sort of thing each year from now. Good luck with your 10K and very best wishes.

Congratulations on keeping running! It's just over a year since I started C25K and I hope to still be running like yourself for many years to come.

Your my inspiration as I watch you progress, wish I was a few years younger and lighter so I could run at speed.

Happy 2nd anniversary, you've said what we all think, this programme is great. Enjoy your third year. :-)

Too right OldNed, it still is great and not to bad for someone in the over 50 group who never ever run before

really looking forward to the 11th May but time for 10k is going to be a lot slower than last year when I was a stone lighter.
