Finally got the guts to go and give it another go this evening. I took on board all previous advice and took it much slower, I only jogged 5 of the 8 mins but felt loads better and breathing was better. I also walked 20 mins home after and I felt good unlike the first attempt.
I will build on each run and will continue with week one until i can do the full 8 mins. I will do this 😁

A few years ago I used to regularly run for 30 mins no trouble. Then had to undergo surgery and after a while of no real exercise I attempted c25k and week one run one was a killer. The wife joined me and said much the same. It does get easier. Do what you can when you can. Just don't do yourself an injury and don't give up.
Shhhh don’t tell anyone but I struggled with the first one min run of the programme and couldn’t catch my breath at the end of it and then.......I ran 5k in 36 minutes last week, two weeks after graduating so please don’t ever think you can’t do this because you can. There are hard runs, I won’t lie, but keep going because the rewards are indescribable. We are all right behind you with every step sending you good vibes. Keep us posted with how you are getting on 👍
