Week 2; run 2. I quit after 11 minutes.
I knew I should have stayed at week 1 for longer, and now I’m annoyed at myself for listening to someone on here who said that I shouldn’t repeat week 1.

I think spent 3 weeks on week one.. I admit that was partly because I don't know about the apps when I started so I just read..and misunderstood week one and hadn't run enough .. I repeated a few other weeks..it doesnt matter...so much of this is mental.. I got to 25 mi it's runs and then had complete rubbish runs..
My advice is just keep up getting 3 runs a week in even if they don't go to plan..because that's how you will establish it as a habit..which makes it more likely you will stick at it...go at your own pace...😉
I’ve done week 1 like 3 times as I haven’t been able to get past run 2 for different reasons.
Repeat the weeks how often you feel you need to. Everyone is different and if you’re not ready to move onto the next week, carry on, on the current week you’re on.
You did the run once already... did you go off to fast this time?
If you’ve completed it once then you were probably ready. Maybe today just wasn’t your day. I think the step up each week keeps it challenging and helps you feel like you’ve achieved something. I seem to struggle more with the second run each week, there is a war between knowing I’ve done it before and battling through because well hell I'm still tired from the last run. I’m glad you’re going to give it another go. Hopefully it will be a better run for you. It may be better for you to repeat week 2 rather than week one...just a thought.😀
No unkind folk on here..just folk trying to encourage and be supportive...
Everyone's different but there's a large sector of C25Kers who find the second run of the week hardest each week. Probably psychological - you do the first, it's hard but your brain goes "oh i did it once" and sends you off a bit faster - probably. Then the third is a bit easier as you've got used to it a bit/ started a bit slower instead. Just one of those things that comes up a lot.
Also, lots of people have a bad run for millions of reasons and sometimes no reason that you can identify. Bad hydration/stress/weather/etc etc etc.
I would point you at the FAQ posts if you haven't read the main one already ("How to run C25K), for your running, and also the pinned post about "differences of opinion and your responsibility as a forum member"; the admins do a wonderful job of keeping this place kind and supportive.
You've already done w2r1 so why not try w2r2 again? So much of running is a mental battle. Believe in yourself.
If you are finding that days run tough, firstly slow down. If you find you can't complete the 90 seconds running do what you can, walk the walk then start the next 90 seconds. You may only manage 10 steps but keep at it. Complete the program for that day. Repeat it until you beat it.
You are fitter now than when you started.
We can be supportive, we can offer up suggestions based on our own experience but only you can beat the gremlins in your head 😈🔨🔨
Good luck.
Hey, don’t beat yourself up. Slow down to sub-snail if you struggle. Barely quicker than walking pace - or slower still if needs be. You can do this and you are not an idiot.
Shake it off as a not such a good run, and move on. We’re here to cheer you on, ok? 👏👏👏👏
Your journey Hm7676, run it as you wish. I’ve only found this forum helpful. We all make choices, like you, l chose not to complete a run but l have chosen to rerun it on Saturday. Your run wasn’t a fail, you got out there and gave it a go, be proud of that. Good luck on your journey👍🏻
