Cross country run W9

Thought I’d show you my hill. Took it very slow all the way up the first 2k then a massive hill and then the home run was all down hill! Beautiful day and loved this run - a new route for me. Plus side; no cars/ roads - down side very hilly and track means you have to watch your feet. But it’s worth it I reckon!

Off-road is so much more fun than tarmac!

Agreed - avoid tarmac and emissions where possible 🌳🌿

Great job... I love it off-road, still avoiding hills myself though!

I can’t really avoid hills around here unfortunately... but upside is it makes the flat seem really easy going 😁

Wow! I’m impressed. 😀 I enjoy off road, but still using fairly flat routes. 😃

Thanks Elfe. Hills are all part of the fun 😁

Hmm, I haven’t quite reached the “hills are fun” stage yet....

I’m more in the “approach hills like a cautious tortoise” camp! 😂

I’ve just been over to check out your story and I read about your knee. I had a knee injury too and so have only just got back onto hills... I take them very slowly 😊

Yes, I have been told to run on the flat for a while- such a good excuse!! 😂

I have managed to build back up to running for 25mins over the last five weeks and I don’t intend to allow hills to rob me of that progress! 😄

Yes best to play it safe. I was walking up the hills / avoiding but I’ve gradually built up to now slow jogging up them 😁

That’s great - very satisfying progress for you after a knee issue. 😀
