Wow! well done kriswhoruns! You did over the 5K on Graduation Day too... I bet you’re over the moon!!!
Great running and a...
BIG WELL DONE SIR!
Thanks ThunderSloth, I’ll take the .1km with a pinch of salt as it was doing my local park run, that could just be Fitbit telling fibs (Last time it said the route was under 5k haha, damn trees) but I’m so proud to have hit my goal of a sub 30min 5k run.
From now on I’m gonna take it a bit easier and look at distance goals, rather than time goals.
But to celebrate, off to That London for Proper Neapolitan style pizza and a musical!
Brilliant. Yes you’ve definitely got a great foundation to build on there! And what a great crescendo... park run, pizza and a musical. Enjoy your well deserved treat 👌🤩
The parkrun course is an accurately measured 5k. You may have run slightly further as nobody follows the exact shortest route at every corner etc. But yes, it’s best to regard Fitbit as approximate: the GPS works very well most of the time but if it briefly loses signal, for example, it will use its own algorithms to estimate how far you ran until it had signal again. There is one parkrun near me where it’s apparently built in to the first timers briefing: ‘I don’t care what your Garmin says, we have measured this course with proper equipment and it’s exactly 5k!’ (because so many people complain the course is short as it always comes up as 4.8 on Garmin due to GPS issues).
What App do you use to map and track your runs?
Many congratulations on your graduation fellow runner.
