In putting my phone in my pocket at the start of a run, I've managed to pause the app and turn off the sound. Today I managed to turn off the phone! I ran the timings on my watch, having already done a 10 minute warm up walk. No encouraging Laura and no second hand for accurate timing. PLUS, I met someone I know. At least I'm on week 3 and have lost a lot of my embarrassment. Didn't want to tell anyone until I'd achieved my park run, of which I could manage a third, at present.

I wear a light rucksack - there’s a top pocket with a zip for phone and keys and an elasticated side pocket for a water bottle, plus I can carry a jacket or fleece just in case. The straps are quite loose so things don’t get too sweaty. I know it’s not orthodox but it works for me. Hope you find something that works for you soon x
