Bloody calf muscle

I have struggled with the calf but had my best session Thursday with week 2 run 1. Today was the great outdoor as mr sunshine ☀️ was playing ball which I do once a week as know it’s more difficult. Well was into the second run of run 2 today and bang my left calf goes. I continued to try short bursts so not to give up and continued to the end. I’m currently having a salt bath 🛀🏽 and have some heat 🔥 lotion at the ready. Apart from continue to pull toes up an stretch it out is there anything else I can do? I do my gym runs Tuesdays and Thursdays and don’t want to miss any after really feeling like I cracked it this week. Thx in advance and well done to you all this week 💋

Roll and stretch and if when you head out again it twinges..then stop running...and get checked out. Having had a minor calf tear....I do advise caution.

Thank you for that. I have a friend who does taping I may see her for a massage and a strap up if she thinks it’s only a pull. Thx for your advice.

Massage, yes, but not a strap up.... :) A sports physio will give you a diagnosis :)

Booked in with Jaime who I always use Tuesday 1 hr massage and whatever she thinks needs doing so let’s see what the prognosis is. Thx guys.

Salt bath. Sounds like a bath full of salt. But to be fair leg/ muscle ache is a paint in the butt!! (And leg) don’t forget to do your c25k stretches after each run to get those muscles fully stretched. Also possibly try stop and stretch during your run if it’s too tight? I’m no expert. Just trying to think of something to be helpful 😬👍

Aww bless you thanks. I did try that a good few times during the session today but thing I’ve pulled it a good one. Dr Salts+ therapeutic solutions is the salts I use. They smell amazing and it’s a cup full into running water 👌🏽

Wow sounds lovely. Not had a bath in years 😂. You maybe need to rest your leg for a week?
