I used the podcasts too, which kept me going . I also found that running outside was more fun for me than the treadmill in the gym.

This forum is great for motivation so pop in often and keep us updated with your progress and feel free to share if the going gets tough. There will always be someone to give you encouragement.

I do wish you luck, your username somes you up, let's go, let's go on a running journey with C25K, 😊 🏃 in 9 weeks you will have graduated🎓🏃and will be much fitter as well. Just take all the runs as instructed on the app, no 🏃 on consecutive days, good luck. 👍🏃😊

Welcome. Read everything in IannodaTruffe’s post. Go slow and steady and you can do this. Motivation is something else... I have a short term target of getting through this, a mid term target time on 5k and a long term target of a marathon in France... my targets keep me on track pretty well.

Welcome letsgo. This community is a great source of inspiration and motivational stories. Great for advice and full of people who have got so much by sticking with the programme. Once you start running you'll get such a buzz from your weekly progress that you'll be self motivated! Share your success and "less" success (we don't mention the f word) on here and you'll get loads of support from the members. Good luck and have fun

Well done on getting out there to start t his journey! You will be so happy with yourself as you progress!!

Motivation other than achieving graduation...? Stamina, strength, body shape, confidence, fearlessness, endorphins, happiness, pride, success...and much more!

What really helped me through the tough runs was the podcast. Listening to stuff i'm interested in rather than focusing on the struggle/time left/distance.

Happy running! Let's goooo! 😁

Welcome - and hopefully you'll get into it just as I have (much to my surprise! - I always hated running at school) - with the encouragement and motivation of the forum, and the very clever design of the programme itself. I also find podcasts essential when I'm out running. I'm on week 9 now, and have been amazed at how much progress I've made, as well as how much I've enjoyed it (a few 'tricky' runs aside...) which is motivating in itself. Good luck with your first weeks! : )
