Just done run 2 and I thought only one more run until next level but the voiceover said try this run a couple more times before moving on to the next level šŸ˜¦ I thought it was only 3 runs per level or was voiceover wrong?!

No there are only 3 runs but on the app it's the same info for all 3, basically it's on repeat. It will say the same when you do your 3rd run.

Good luck and enjoy this.

Good job. Some of the audio is confusing, but the run is ticked off nicely.

Itā€™s fine now that I know itā€™s just set recording the voice over the music counting you in and out really helps I wish I had discovered this before I used to go it alone! Im finding this a challenge so goodness knows how I will do stepping up to next level!

It has to be challenging... thatā€™s how it gets you to 30 minutes so fast... other plans donā€™t work as well as this one. Itā€™s pushing your fitness up so fast that when you do one of the impossible 20+ runs youā€™ll be amazed. You can do every step up, trust the plan and believe in yourself. The fitness will take care of itself, your battle is against Mr Doubt, Mr Excuses and a few gremlins.

You are so right mr doubt and me excuses are always there and their voices can be VERY loud. Thanks for your reply šŸ‘ I also was told as Iā€™m now mid 40ā€™s Iā€™m too old for running ad itā€™s not good on my joints so that backs up the doubt voices sometimes!

Iā€™m the same age bracket... some doctors have told me the same over the years... but now GPs are starting to prescribe C25K and parkrun. As for the others, well in all things I listen to the people who do... if Mo tells me I shouldnā€™t run, Iā€™ll stop... if he says Iā€™m too slow, Iā€™ll speed up. Those that donā€™t run cannot possibly advise me on this. Ok, it puts impact on the joints, but thatā€™s what also makes your body make them stronger... with a little care running is pretty good for them.

When I see others in their running gear I always think of they are the Uber ditties and always feel like I canā€™t run so I feel victorious when I get back from a run and when Iā€™m out actually doing what I say I canā€™t do - itā€™s so good for mental strength and Iā€™m hoping it will show on the scales too. I wander if others have dropped weight through this....

Weight loss also needs good nutrition... what you should see is a toning up and a loss of inches... my daughter has lost a few and is nearly at her second drop in dress size... the tape measure is your friend and a good guide to progress. Running builds muscle so it can slow weight loss during that process... but it still burns fat.

The mental strengthening is amazing though.

Good point I need to take my measurements I am using MyFitnessPal to log my daily food intake without counting the exercise so Iā€™m hoping the two pronged approach will guarantee success but even if scales refuse to budge I would love my clothes to feel looser well done to your daughter 2 dress sizes down must feel amazing!

Yes, good nutrition and this are formidable. Have you used the NHS BMI calculator? That gives a range of calories for slow sustainable weight loss and in many cases is higher than the ā€œdietsā€ recommend... but the key is its easy to keep off... if you look at it, eat to the higher end of the scale and youā€™ll be able to maintain easily at the end of your weight loss journey.

The problems with scales:

1/ they donā€™t show you that youā€™ve swapped fat for muscle

2/ some weeks they say no/tiny loss with no explanation

3/ a 2 pound loss may mean youā€™re dehydrated, thatā€™s only a litre of water.

Now, if your jeans wonā€™t stay up, or you get in a size smaller, thereā€™s no doubt that something is working! My daughter is loving the new her, and we donā€™t possess a set of scales, I threw them out during my weightloss, after recalibration with a sledgehammer and I wonā€™t have any in the house!

Ha ha that made me laugh šŸ˜† recalibrating your scales with a sledgehammer! I call it the sad step as it can make or break your day. I heard a saying that could work in well with this 8 week programme;

After 2 weeks - you will notice

After 4 weeks - your partner will notice

After 6 weeks - people will notice

After 8 weeks - people will say they notice

So Iā€™m going to use that and meaueements and the sad step because I canā€™t resist but I know itā€™s not the most reliable and if I see it in my clothes I will be so happy. Iā€™m having to practically give up the love of my life to do this (chocolate) as I am no good at only having a little I have NO stop button and Iā€™m just realising that I have zero control and abstinence is the only way if I want to get back to the ā€˜old meā€™ ā¤ļø
