Hey everyone! I feel so refreshed and proud every time I finish the run. However, before I go out to do it I feel so anxious like I can't/don't want to do it. Even when Sarah Millican is counting down to the next 3 minutes of running, I'm thinking 'noooo, please no'. Does this happen to anyone else? Does it get better with time?

Week 3 Run 1
I felt like that all the way through. The number of excuses my brain and body tried to give me arghhhh but I never missed a run no matter how much I didn't want to do it. I felt great afterwards. The anxiety is massive for me. It is almost like you forget you can actually run and still stuck in the mindset of a lifetime that you can't do it. Then when you're actually doing it and have finished it is amazing. But still the same anxiety next time. I'm still like that after graduating! But then I'm generally anxious. I think it probably is better now because it is more balanced with an enthusiasm for getting out there and doing another run and a great sense of achievement. I hope you start to feel better about it, trust the program because you really can do it no matter how much you're thinking noooooo!
The more you know you can do it the less it’ll happen... of course during this plan each week is out of what you know you can do... so now we have to believe that we can. Try some relaxation techniques they can help a lot... if you really believe in yourself the runs do come a little easier.
Yup. Four years in, and I still get a bit of anxiety before each run. Silly really, isn't it?!
There are runs like that for me as well. Although last time I went out, I was pleasantly surprised as it was really nice one without the struggle
So keep going! And hold on to that finished feeling
