No. I was 59 when I started. I think we had one runner who was in his eighties!

I'll be 59 at the end of November and this morning I did w3r1 😎

Definitely not. I won't see 58, or 65 for that matter, again. Providing you have no health issues that may be aggravated by it, this is a fantastic programme to get healthier, fitter and more active. Check with your GP if unsure but age certainly is no barrier.

Get those trainers on and join in. And don't forget to tell us about it.

That's up to you to decide.

But see it this way: every 30 minute run that you do will add one day to your life expectancy.

Nooooooo!!!!! Get out there and enjoy it! There are plenty older - I’m only a handful of years younger myself! 😀😀😀

NO WAY are you too late in starting C25K, I am amazed at how many people are here that start in their 60's and 70's, even heard of someone who was 80 who began this training course, as long as you don't have any health issues you should find this OK, good luck.

PS, It was 1 month before my 72nd birthday when I began C25K and graduated 3 weeks after turning 72, you are a kid compared to us old uns.

No definitely not, I started at 60 , having never run before, and am now on the 5 - 10k plan. Just trust in the programme and take it slowly. 🐌

Thanks everyone for the encouragement - I think I was hoping for some last minute persuasion not to do it

W1R1 completed!!

You could give it another 15-20 years and still not be the oldest starter... so welcome and enjoy your journey.

Nope ... I’m 59 and 6 mths... did wk3 r1 tonight. Hadn’t run for thirty years

Knowing it was a step up tonight I was concerned that it was too soon but obviously weeks 1 and 2 are already showing the benefits as tonight was a breeze

Go for it!
