Here we go... off on that little adventure called GET TO 5K! I am beginning week 7 run 1 tomorrow morning with the goal of entering my first 5K fun run on September 22nd. I went a little overboard (as I usually do) this last Saturday and completed 2.65 miles in 34 minutes. By the 22nd, I should be almost ready to graduate the program and have completed my first EVER 5K! I am beyond excited!
Oh, and ordering new running clothes and shoes most definitely helps the excitement.

Good luck kwell39. But do remember that the plan is to get you running for 30 minutes, rather than 5k. 90% of graduates don’t reach 5k until a few weeks later. So don’t push it unless it comes naturally, we don’t want you to be on that injury couch
