It’s getting tough

I’ve just started week 4. Wish I could say I completed the run ! I managed 12 of the 16 minutes running and actually felt great....just run out of steam. I think I might be repeating this week.

Good effort. Repeat the individual run, and slow down if you need to. You can do it.

12 minutes is still pretty darn good after only 4 weeks of running (your 10th Run?). You’ll nail it don’t worry 👍👍👍

I repeated week 3 twice. Progress is slow but it’s progress nonetheless. Fortunately it’s not a race for me, I’m doing this so I can be fit for life and continue to enjoy my passions for country sports for longer. Much to my surprise I’m really enjoying running for the first time in my life which is a real bonus. Oh yes and a brush with diabetes provided a fair bit of motivation as well 😋

Exactly, you’ve got loads of motivation there. My brother has diabetes and my dad had it too, that’s definitely a big motivator. Well done, as you say it’s not a race.

As runs get longer you have to pace yourself. Just go nice and steady at a conversational pace, keeping something in the tank for a sprint finish, if you want.
