In the few short weeks I've been doing this I've noticed a number of other c25kers struggling with motivation. Those pesky head gremlins! πΏπΏπΏ
So I thought I would share what I do, and this is the bit that might sound silly!
When I was child my mother motivated me by giving me "that look" or a clip round the ear. Different times π
Nowadays young people get reward charts, you know a happy sticker for being good etc. My thinking? If it's good enough for a small person it's good enough for me π€£
On the days I complete a run, 10k steps or go to an exercise class I put a sticker in my diary. Hearts not smiley faces in case your wondering.
And for me it's working. I don't believe in using food as a reward as this can lead to other issues ie getting fatter π¬
Last week I had 5 stickers. As of yesterday morning I only had 2 and the page was looking rather bare. This got my ass out the door to do w3r3. In a minute I'm off for a walk to reach my 10k steps as 3 stickers still looks a little sad
