Ran with the woof for the first time yesterday. He was a little miffed especially when we ran passed the end of the drive... need to plan for distance... anyone got ideas on how to plan a local route?

I run with my dog. He is a 2 year old choc lab. He wants to stop and sniff sometimes but otherwise enjoys it too.

There’s a disused railway line near us which is perfect: no traffic and on a gradual incline, so I go uphill outwards and downhill coming home. The halfway Bell is really helpful for judging distance: you can turn round then and start heading back.

That’s what I do ... head off somewhere then turn around and come back at the halfway bell. I’ve no sense of direction so this is a perfect solution. Good luck. ! X
