So I’m w4 r2 just completed, I am still using treadmill as not feeling comfortable yet to go outside. The second 3 minute run I found the hardest I got to two and had to slow right down so feel a bit rubbish like I’ve failed. I managed the last 5 min run though but I was just feeling exhausted and feel like maybe I’m not cut out for it after all has anyone else had days where it just feels impossible ?
Sorry to be a moaning Mildred 😂 xx

You were beyond failure when you pressed start. Fail is not trying.
The key to what you described was that you had to slow down. So, slow down from the start... you can always spend that energy in the last minute. Slow is the secret to getting through this, it’s smart to do it.
If you’ve got this far running faster, you’re certainly cut out for this!
Yes - each run is unpredictable. At the end of week 5 I felt great after a 20 min run and was tempted to skip the next 2 runs of week 6 and go for the next longer run because the last one had been so easy but glad I heeded the advice form here as I struggled with the next 2 runs - even though they were split into two parts again. Maybe you are running too fast. Even a couple of decimal points can be the difference between manageable and hard for me. Keep at it - you've come this far - don't waste what you've already achieved and approach the next run with a positive attitude and put this run behind you
Hahahah I didn’t know we didn’t use the d word 🤭 oops !! Hahah!
Yeah the other runs I’ve done I’ve been going as fast as I can, well stil jogging but maybe you quick so this one was tiring and I felt a bit of a key down bound to have a downer occasionally I guess x
The odd hard day is to be expected even post graduation .. the term is character building lol
Yup you definitely need to slow your runs down from the off . You will find it much more comfortable and be able to compete the runs ... you an work on pace and speed after you graduate, which you will 😁
